Counseling Services

No matter how long ago you were hurt, it’s never too late to begin to heal.

Cleveland Rape Crisis Center offers counseling services to child and adult survivors of rape, sex trafficking and sexual abuse as well as support services to partners, parents and family members.  Our highly trained staff will work with you to design a recovery plan that is right for you.

We serve children and adults of all gender identities, impacted by the continuum of sexual trauma exposure, from acute incidents such as a recent rape or sexual abuse, to chronic experiences of childhood sexual abuse.  Many clients come to us years or decades following their traumatic experience and after many years of unsuccessful treatment.

Individual counseling services are available remotely via telehealth and teleservices, as well as in person by appointment.

Our Approach

We strive to create a safe, welcoming, healing, and respectful environment where survivors and their families find support.  We serve all survivors of rape and sexual assault and those supportive of them, regardless of age, gender identity, sexual orientation, race, income, ability, or religion.

Priority Services

If you are a survivor of an assault that occurred within the last 30 days, we will make every effort to see you as soon as we can possibly arrange an appointment.

Short-Term Counseling

Counseling sessions for any survivor of rape or sexual abuse looking to process the ways in which their sexual abuse or rape impacts life today, and to learn how to cope and move forward in their lives in healthy ways.

Child and Family Services

Counseling sessions for children ages 0-18 impacted by rape and sexual abuse, and for family members.  In-home counseling for children up to age 12 is available in most cases.  Counseling for youth 12-18 is available in our office-based locations.

Support Sessions

Up to four counseling sessions for partners, parents, siblings or significant other relationships to cope with secondary trauma.
