Support for Deaf Survivors

We’re here to support you.

Cleveland Rape Crisis Center (CRCC) welcomes members of the Deaf community to access its services. We are here to support survivors of rape and sexual abuse who are D/deaf or hard of hearing, as well as their loved ones or family members.

We will arrange for an interpreter to be present at any scheduled appointments. Please read below or watch the ASL vlog (with captions) to learn what services are available and how you can connect with CRCC.

What services are available?

Our Advocates provide support and information for survivors of rape and sexual abuse 24 hours a day, 7 days a week.  It does not matter how long ago you were hurt, it is never too late to heal. Services include:

Services are available in Cuyahoga, Lake, Geauga, and Ashtabula Counties.

How can I access services?

Text or call (216) 619-6192, or request an appointment online. On the online form, please let us know if you would like an interpreter – CRCC will arrange for an interpreter for any scheduled appointments.

What can I expect?

When you request an appointment online, our Intake Specialist will contact you via text to set up an in-person intake at one of our offices, and we will schedule an interpreter to be present for the intake session.  During this meeting, if you decide to move forward with services, we will complete the required initial paperwork to begin services.

Next, you would set up an appointment with your therapist or advocate, and your next meeting would be the beginning of ongoing services with CRCC.
